What makes Oakdorn boxers different from most underwear?
Oakdorn boxers are made from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton, without synthetic blends like polyester or elastane. Instead of plastic-based stretch fabrics, we focus on breathable natural cotton, a slightly relaxed fit, and a cotton-wrapped waistband — creating a more comfortable and more natural option for everyday wear.
Are these boxers stretchy if there’s no elastane?
Yes — naturally. Organic cotton has inherent flexibility, and our cut is designed to move comfortably without tight compression. Rather than relying on plastic stretch fibers, we use fit and construction to deliver comfort that feels natural on the body.
Do they run tight or loose?
They’re designed with a slightly relaxed fit so nothing is tightly pressed against the body. The outcome is less pressure, less heat buildup, and better airflow — especially when things get warm.
This supports the body’s natural temperature regulation, which tight, synthetic underwear tends to work against. If you’re between sizes or prefer extra room, we recommend sizing up.
Will they shrink after washing?
A small amount of shrinkage is normal with natural cotton (around 5%). Washing cold and tumble drying low helps minimize this. Many customers size up for the ideal post-wash fit.
Is the waistband comfortable? Will it roll or dig in?
The elastic waistband is fully wrapped in organic cotton, so there’s no exposed elastic against the skin. It’s designed to stay in place without rolling, pinching, or leaving marks.
Are these good for warm climates, workouts, or sauna use?
Yes. Oakdorn boxers are made from 100% organic cotton, a breathable natural fabric that performs better than plastic-based materials when heat and friction are involved.
The relaxed fit allows airflow and helps limit heat buildup, while the cotton-wrapped waistband ensures no exposed synthetic materials sit against the skin — even in warm conditions or during sauna use. This makes them a more comfortable, more natural and a safer choice when body temperature rises.
Are the dyes safe?
Yes. All dyes are OEKO-TEX® certified, meaning they’re tested for harmful substances and safe for close-to-skin contact.
How are Oakdorn boxers made?
Our boxers are responsibly made in facilities that specialize in high-quality cotton garments and meet strict quality and safety standards.
Why are they more expensive than regular underwear?
We use certified organic materials, avoid synthetic blends, and invest in better construction details like a cotton-wrapped waistband. Higher-quality fabric and responsible production simply cost more — but they also last longer and feel better over time, while protecting your health.
What if they don’t fit or I don’t like them?
No problem. If your first pair isn’t right, contact us and we’ll help you with an exchange or return. We want you to feel confident in your choice.
