I saw a review from someone that said “It is plastic just like my old brushes.” And they gave it one pitiful star. I nearly laughed out loud because this brush is made from hardwood, not plastic, though Oakdorn does not specify the type of wood they use in their hefty, well made, brushes. It must be very dense because the weight, which is comfortable but it does take a minute to get used to it. It surprised me when I first picked it up and used it. I ordered a second brush, that just arrived today, same heft, same quality, and I haven’t used another brush since (with the exception of a small detangler brush I use on my wet hair, after a shower. Oakdorn makes a quality brush. I will never need another. It glides through my long hair without pull or tangles. I am very pleased with my purchases.
